What the kids would do for fun...

Popular toys were wooden dolls (that you could move with movable joints). For a more inexpensive doll you could play with a rag doll or a doll that you made out of clay and painted. Kites, hoops, whips, tops, and balls were also very popular for both female and male children. For the infants their was wooden animals on wheels to pull around and toy mice, birds, and dogs which were also made out of clay and painted . When people made toys for the infants they thought about what would appeal to them, but also the size, so toys for the young were just the roght size to hold in an infants hand. For the older and more sophisticated ones they was always a choice of a variety of board games and dice. Some of these include checkers, knucklebones and tali. There was lots to do but if nothing sounded good to you than there was ALWAYS the option of shopping!
