The Romans played checkers for fun. Today, Americans play the game famous game of checkers as well. Ever heard of the show "Dancing With The Stars"? Well that show is about famous people dancing with an everyday joe. But the Ancient Romans used to hire a professinal to dance at a feast or party. We adapted that from the Romans and made a tv show out of it. I used to play primere soccer,a nd every year we would have a banquet at a country club. Their would be lots of food and beverages, the Romans used to have these banquets all the time, with filling food. We have banquets because of the Romans.
